Have you heard that we’re enjoying a fresh breath of new beginnings over here? A Life of Thrive just launched their podcast, Finding God in Our Pain. Below you’ll find links to the podcast and my own personal (video) testimony of who God is in my pain.
In the weekly blog we strive to find the beauty of Christ in every day life and by adding the podcast we can open the conversation of what it looks like to find the beauty of Christ in our pain and suffering.
I’m excited to share that with the addition of the podcast there are some changes that will take place. Podcast episodes will air on Wednesday on a bi-monthly basis. Each week that an episode goes live, it will replace the blog post for that week. So the bi-monthly podcast will push the weekly blog posts to become bi-monthly as well.
While podcast episodes will launch on a Wednesday morning (on a bi-monthly basis), the blog post publication date will change from Monday morning to Tuesday mornings (on a bi-monthly basis). This change in the date of the blog post will begin the week of October 19th.
You will hear people say that money makes the world go around but I believe the power of shared story cannot be underestimated with regard to connecting people and growing relationship. While shared story continually creates connection and strengthens relationship there is something else we all share in and that is various degrees of death.
Whether it be the death of your health or physical abilities, a marriage/commitment/vow, your future, your identity, security, etc. we all know the pain of rejection, broken expectations, goals, dreams, etc. We will hear from women as they share their journey through the darkest days of their life and what it looked like for the Good Shepherd to guide them through and into healing.
Varying degrees of death and pain are weaved into the fabric of life so when we take a close look and begin to reveal what the experiences of other women have been like then we also get to expose Satan’s plan as compared to God’s answers to pain and suffering
By bringing the topic of pain and suffering into the podcast realm, we move from reading about topics to hearing via audio recordings. The beauty of an audio podcast recording is that it will allow us to listen to the firsthand story of women in their own voices. Listeners will receive encouragement and hope for the next day, the next breath.
We’ll be encouraged to hear and know that anytime we find ourselves sitting in nothing more than ash and dirt, we don’t need to be afraid because ash and dirt in the right hands only needs one breath to become new life.
Here’s a quick run down of what the blog posts and podcast episodes will look like till the end of the year.

Need more info about podcasts?
What is a podcast anyway?
A podcast is a series of episodes similar to a radio show in that you will only hear audio. There is no video image to see. Each episode is an audio file and is stored on websites (ie my website alifeofthrive.com) as well as various podcast hosting companies (aka Google Podcast, iTunes, Spotify, Pandora etc. etc.).
You can subscribe to podcasts which makes it easy to get notified (via a podcast app such as Google Podcast, iTunes etc.) when a new episode comes out. Look for the Subscribe button in close proximity to the podcast episode you pull up.
What is a pilot episode?
A pilot episode is the first show launched. It explains the purpose of the podcast and what listeners can expect to hear each time they visit.
On my pilot you will hear me talking to you as the listener…more of a monolog vs my typical interview format.
How do I find/listen to the pilot for Finding God in Our Pain?
To hear the pilot episode of Finding God in Our Pain go to: https://findinggodinourpain.podbean.com/?fbclid=IwAR364OBBLH7pi-3I3GbhRzyBaAsP9tfg641MlH3utX2hI1LfkeHRoUNLzws
Aside from the pilot, all other episodes will be interview style. When a new episode is released (my podcast is bi-monthly) it will be listed after the pilot and will have a title that tells who my guest is and the topic we will be discussing. As an example: Sandra Julian Barker – Murder and Redemption
Click on your preferred episode and the audio will start.
If you want to save the episode for later or keep it for quick reference, download the episode (you will see the option to click on download) to your personal device (cell, laptop etc.)
Future episodes:
If you want to receive new episodes when they air then you will want to subscribe (subscribe button/link is in close proximity to the title of each episode). Then you will automatically be notified when they are available.
Thank you for your interest and support! Let me know if you’d love to be a guest or if you know someone who would be the perfect guest. Have them go to my website: alifeofthrive.com and use the Contact link to reach out to me.
NOW LIVE LOVED and THRIVE!
