The one and only tattoo I have says, “His Beloved.” It’s on my right forearm so I can see it when I write/type. I want to be reminded that I share my heart with women who are the beloved of God. It reminds me to pull down the barriers and be real, so we might be joined together and share the burden of this world and the love and joy that God offers us in the midst of it.
Beloved, I want to pray over you today. You are always on my mind. Let me lift you before the throne to the One who hears our prayers, the One who has a deep, wild, crazy, affectionate love for you. He carries us through all of life and prayer is one of the best ways we engage with His presence:
Daddy, there is no one like You in all the earth, in this created universe or beyond. Your majesty is too much for us to wrap our minds around. Your opulence cannot be understood by our understanding. You alone know all things, see all things, and are in all things. You are the Alpha and the Omega, yet You still bend low and extend Your hand to us. You incline Your ear to hear our voices, and we are the recipients of your extravagance.
Thank You, Daddy, that You see this precious woman. You know her thoroughly and You love her completely. You see her through Jesus and that is the reason You see no fault in her. No matter what. Even if she does not fully grasp the completed work of Your Son Jesus, You do.
Thank You, Daddy, that You would not only put a smile on her face today but that You would put a smile deep in her heart—one that is strong through any storm. Let it be rooted in the memory of her heart so she can recall it at any time. Let it be personal to who You created her to be. Let it be a lifeline to her for all the days of her life.
Thank You for the cross. Let us remember that in Your hands that shameful object of scorn became a saving grace. Thank You for a beautiful reminder that You take what is shameful and make it beautiful. You are the light in the midst of a very dark existence.
Based on the example You have given us, should there be a need, I thank You, Daddy, that You would lift this precious woman’s head under the weight of anything that has her pressed down into the floor.
Daddy, I want her to see You for the devoted Father You are. I want her to know that, because she’s Your daughter, You look at her precious face and You are filled with pure delight. You are eternally pleased with her and look forward to hearing her voice every minute of every day.
Call her into private time with You where You guard her words and the secrets of her heart. A place where she feels heard and accepted. Whisper Your strategies and solutions to her so that she can get her back off the wall and stand straight, firm, and confident in who You are.
Daddy, I want her to see You for the warrior You are. I want her to know—I mean rock-solid know—You are in her corner. That You have a love for her that will never be comparable to what she’s heard or the examples we’ve experienced with our limited knowledge.
Father, You are far beyond our comprehension, yet You do not hide from us. You give us the opportunity to know You, to experience You. You’re not a God of confusion, but You are patient, kind, orderly, and purposeful.
May she find rest in You. Daddy, I want her to know the strength that arises out of resting with You. May she draw up close to Your chest, listen to Your heartbeat, and receive from You all that You have for her. May she be renewed in the beauty of being with You so that she operates from the overflow she experiences when spending time with You.
Father, I thank You that, in whatever this sweet woman is facing today, You would show her Your presence. Thank You for encouraging her and, Daddy, don’t let her miss it. I know she’s busy, has responsibilities and demands pulling her in various directions, but I thank You that Your kind, soft gesture is not overlooked in her rush to fulfill today. May she take the time to pause to engage You and to sit quietly in Your presence even if only for a few minutes. And, in that time, may she feel Your peace.
May she see You with the eyes of her heart, and may she fall more in love with You today and every day for all the days of her life.
I ask these things in the name of Jesus, the power of Jesus and the love of Jesus, amen.

Self-Reflection
These questions are in no way a substitute for healthcare professionals or any level of professional counseling. I’m an advocate for taking care of oneself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. These questions reflect my heart, NOT my profession.
This questionnaire is an opportunity to journal your thoughts and feelings. It can serve as a launching pad on which to evaluate your heart condition as you understand it. My hope is that you will take the truths you discover about yourself and hold them up to the Light to evaluate them against who God says you are.
- How often do you spend quiet-time with God?
- What is something you’ve been keeping from God that He’d love to talk with you about?
- Why are you keeping it from God? Explain.
- Do you talk to God or at God?
- What is the biggest block for you when it comes hearing from God?
Talk to God about your answers. Give Him praise, ask Him questions and then listen for His gentle response.
Take Action
Use God’s word to take control over the traumas in your life. Whenever you feel terrorized by your thoughts take them captive by replacing them with the truth of God’s promises in His word.
Here is a scripture for you to print, cut and carry with you and/or post in places where you will see it often. Ground yourself in God’s truths not Satan’s attacks. Encourage your heart and mind every time you are reminded of His great love for YOU!
Here is what God’s Word says about His unfailing, relentless, unending love for you:
“… but God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.” Psalm 66:19 (NLT)
Translation: God hears my prayers. He knows my voice. He is the God who hears my every thought. He pays attention even when I don’t think He heard me. He loves to hear my voice.
