Pilot Episode for Finding God in Our Pain

I did it! Wait, no, God did it! Yes, it was me who physically did it but you know how it is with the procrastination, feeling like an imposter, learning something new, did I say procrastinating. When you’re about to break new ground in your life Satan will not miss the perfect opportunity to railroad it. So I know that I know I wouldn’t have done it if I had not kept pressing into the Lord to hear what He had to say and to find His direction for the next day and the next step.

Finding God in Our Pain is a division of my blog, A Life of Thrive. In my blog posts I strive to reveal God in the every day normality of life. I like to say we’re bringing the beauty of Christ into everyday life. In order to do that we need to take an honest look at the fact that pain is woven into the fabric of life.

Based on that truth, what does a good God have to say about pain and suffering? What I’ve discovered is that He has the most beautiful things to say in the darkest of moments and I want others to discover His heart for them too.

Through an interview format, we will hear firsthand stories of women who have walked through the darkest days of their life and they’ll share what it felt like for God to meet them in their pain and what it looked like for Him to gently shepherd them through their valley and bring them out into the green pastures.

In addition to personal stories, we’ll hear from therapists, grief counselors, pastors, authors and others who can speak into the pain with solutions, insight, strategies and various ways we can use to find healing for our shattered hearts.

The faithfullness of God is also found in the people He puts in your path so I want to bear hug and kiss on the cheek:

And my deepest gratitude for the countless women who have shared their story, given me their support during my life tragedy and who have loved me unconditionally … especially when I was not loveable.

May the voices of this podcast reflect the heart of God and in some small way put a tangible shape to His unfathomable, unfailing love for each of His daughters. God speaks the most beautiful things in the dark … you are not alone sweet one.
